Below are resources to help people who are diagnosed with breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Resource Center 

A local central Texas organization, BCRC offers individualized, client-centered care from the time of diagnosis, through treatment, and into survivorship.

SHARE

SHARE is a national nonprofit that supports, educates, and empowers anyone who has been diagnosed with women’s cancers, and provides outreach to the general public about signs and symptoms. We are ready to listen to your concerns, respond to your questions, and provide education to help you make sense of your diagnosis and treatment.

Help with any cancer

The resources below are available to any person diagnosed with cancer. Some are limited to specific geographic areas. 

CANCERcare

Professional oncology social workers provide free emotional and practical support for people with cancer, caregivers, loved ones, and the bereaved.

CareBOX

CareBOXhelps patients in Central Texas fight cancer by delivering essential supplies to their doors.

Financial help

Susan G. Komen

Susan G. Komen provides help for women with breast cancer. Patients can apply for cash support to cover expenses.

DollarFor

Dollar For is a national nonprofit that works with patients to get rid of hospital debt.

GoodBill

GoodBill negotiates hospital bills for a 10% fee if they are successful in getting the bill reduced.

Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF)

PAF provides Case Management, co-pay relief, and financial aid. Visit their site in Spanish.

CANCERcare

CANCERcare offers limited financial assistance for cancer-related costs and co-pays, and professional oncology social workers help find additional resources.

Help with cost of medicines

Cost Plus Drugs

Cost Plus Drugs offers lower cost pharmaceuticals.

Good RX

Good RX offers a discount medicine card that can be used at many pharmacies such as HEB, Walgreens, CVS, Costco. Compare costs for medicines.

Help with transportation

American Cancer Society Road to Recovery

Volunteers gives rides to doctors appointments. Rides need to be requested 3 days – 3 weeks ahead of time. Transportation is dependent on volunteer availability and not guaranteed.
