Screening Counties

What is ACT-CTX?

Addressing Cancer Together (ACT) is an initiative composed of a coalition of ~75 members, and ~30 organizations working together to improve cancer care for high needs patients.

Our initial area of focus is a 6 county region in Central Texas. The counties in our program are: Bastrop, Caldwell, Burnet, Hays, Travis and Williamson Counties.

Travis County healthcare initiatives are managed by Central Health.

Our Goals

Early Diagnosis

Lower the number of late-stage breast cancer diagnoses by working with citizens in counties not covered by the Travis healthcare district

Better Patient Outcomes

Reduce deaths, reduce lost productivity, reduce treatment costs

Strategic Alignment

Shift available resources upstream, allocate patients fairly across providers, take advantage of insurance options and federal funding
